Three people were taken to Mendaro hospital today with mild respiratory problems after inhaling toxic gas at the Olaizaga sports centre in Elgoibar (Gipuzkoa), where a chemical accident occurred inside the facility.
According to the local council, around 2.30 p.m. , hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite have been mixed in the swimming pools of the Olaizaga sports centre.

The City Council has reported that they have intervened immediately, opening windows, evacuating the buildingand removing all users as security measures.
