A 21-year-old boy died in Biriatou as he fell from a balcony
A 21-year-old died yesterday, Sunday, in the hospital in Baiona from injuries he sustained on Saturday as he fell from the balcony of a house in Biriatou.
The fall occurred in the early morning of Saturday, July 26. Around 9:00 a.m. the emergency services were called from a house on the Mulintegi Road in Biriatou (Lapurdi), wounded as the young man was found on the ground. He was taken in a very serious condition to the hospital in Baiona, where he died on Sunday.
The Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation to clarify what happened. Around 6:00 in the morning the family heard a noise, but nothing extraordinary was seen. The young man was found hours later. According to various media reports, the first data indicates that he fell off the balcony when he spent the night in Gipuzkoa and returned home.
The young man lived in Paris but was on vacation at his partner's family home.
