The legal representatives of the Belorado Seniors have filed a letter in the Briviesca Court (Burgos) expressing theirdesire to continue with the excommunicated nuns . They have submitted a letter after a judicial entourage moved to Orduña(Bizkaia) this Friday to offer the possibility of moving to other monasteries of the Federation of Clarisas.
In this connection, counsel\ u00A0 Enrique Garcia de Viedma, in his letter on behalf of senior religious persons, requests that he be brought before the Briviesca Court at the request of the Office of the Attorney-General for the Elderly in proceedings for the granting of judicial measures for the assistance of persons with disabilities.
They also stress their opposition to any precautionary or definitive measure involving the transfer from the monastery of Orduña. The elderly were transferred from Belorado last Tuesday night - excommunicated after the eviction trial from Belorado - and do not affect the elderly, who, in the opinion of the Archbishop of Burgos, are the legitimate religious community of Belorado.
The Briviesca Court has sentenced the former nuns to surrender the monastery of Belorado to the Archbishop of Burgos, and "they are warned that if they do not do so voluntarily, they will be dismissed." However, the sentence does not set a deadline for this.
