The Dutch pyrotechnic Caffero has won the XXXIII International Fireworks Festival Uria in Bilbao. Competition
The jury has declared Caffero Pirotecnia the winner ofthe XXXIII International Uria Fireworks Competition in Bilbao.
The company offered the show on the first night of Big Week, on August 16, last Saturday, which, according to the Bilbao City Council in a statement, was "fascinating", so it has been imposed on the remaining six participants arriving from Brazil, Germany, Canada, Galicia, France and Italy.
This jury, composed of professionals from the cultural, social, commercial and festive fields of the city, has assessed criteria such as the occupation of airspace, the originality of the effects, the rhythm and continuity of the show, the chromatic variety and clarity, the design of the forms, the integration with the environment and the reception of the public.
The award will be presented next Sunday, August 24, at 12:00 in La Bilbaina, with the Mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, the Equality and Festivities Councilor, Itziar Urtasun, and representatives of the jury of the contest.
On top of the prize awarded by the jury, the contest has the Publico Award, which will be announced in September . Citizens have been able to vote through the 2025 ' bilbao Aste Nagusia app or coupons published in the newspaper El Correo from 16 to 23 August.
One more year, the City Council has confirmed that fireworks are one of the great attractions of the Aste Nagusia A, and that every night "thousands of people" have gathered in the sky of Bilbao to "enjoy this spectacle of light, color and emotion."
