A Portuguese man has been arrested in Bilbao on charges of sexually assaulting two minors in his family
A European arrest warrant was issued for the 39-year-old man, who has been fleeing justice since 2017. The judge has provisionally released him with precautionary measures pending extradition proceedings to Luxembourg.
The operation has been carried out by the Organized Crime Group of the Judicial Police Brigade in Bilbao, in coordination with Group I of the Fugitives of the Judicial Police General Police Station, as reported by the Ministry of the Interior.
As a result of this cooperation, it was confirmed that the man was in the capital city. Thanks to the established device, the man was identified and intercepted in Bilbaoand arrested immediately on European orders.
Once the police proceedings have been completed, he has been placed at the disposal of the Central Examining Court of the National Court, which has provisionally released him with precautionary measures pending extradition proceedings to Luxembourg.
