Thus, once the project enters into force, tobacco may not be smoked in the South Basque Country and throughout the Spanish State on the terraces of bars, transport stops, outdoor concerts and shows, swimming pools, university campuses or vehicles used for work, for example.
The new bill also regulates products related to tabaco, such aselectronic cigarettes , oral consumption nicotine bags edo arable products various products.
In fact, the presence of these items on the market and their consumption has increased considerably among young people, and the same conditions and limitations as for ordinary cigarettes will henceforth apply to electronic cigarettes or other tobacco products.
In addition, minors are prohibited from using tobacco by law, as well as from sellingsingle-use electronic cigarettes , and the text restricts advertising of tobacco products .
The approved document also amends thesanctions regime by updating infringements, fines and liability. Now manufacturers will have 12 months to adapt their products to the new legal framework and remove single-use electronic cigarettes.
