Four security cameras destroyed in the Old Town of Vitoria-Gasteiz
The City of Vitoria-Gasteiz has stated that the attacks began on Friday and continued on Monday night, causing material damage valued at thousands of euros.
Images broadcast on social media by the perpetrators of the crimes.
Local police are investigating the unfolding of four camerasin the video surveillance system installed in the Old Town of Vitoria-Gasteiz .
According to municipal sources, the attacks began last Friday, when the cameras were covered in black paint, but on Monday night sabotage continued and cameras were destroyed using hammers and brooms, and cameras controlling access to the Low Emission Zone (EBE) have also been attacked.
Hala Bedi has revealed that this is a sabotage by some anonymous people "against social control."
Citizen Security Councillor César Fernández de Landa has expressed his "absolute revulsion" at what happened and added that "the person who commits such acts is only a criminal." The local policeare collecting information to identify those responsible for sabotage.
