Science Week celebrates its 25th anniversary with 200 free activities for all ages
On 22 October, the registration deadline for the workshops and didactic courses of the three Basque capitals and Barakaldo will be opened.
On November 5, Science Week begins its 25th anniversary and will offer about 200 free activities for all ages in Bilbao, Donostia, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Barakaldo.
The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) has prepared for this anniversary a "very special programming" consisting of 40 corners, 75 workshops, 10 didactic itineraries, 20 scientific monologues, eight exhibitions and eleven lectures under the slogan "Science for a planet without plastic", which will be held from 5 to 9 November.
According to the UPV/EHU, "the latest scientific research will be available in a pleasant and fun way", highlighting the activities of the 'Oceanus plasticus' project, which includes the visual spectacle of the night and "an experience of immersion in an imagined seabed" in the Bizkaia Aretoa.
In addition, the experience of Lucia Revolt, the young finalist of the international sustainable fashion competition Junk Kouture, will be known.
Children will be able to enjoy "a quantum adventure" in Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz, while in San Sebastian the divulger Aytami Soto will combine magic and chemistry in 'History's Greatest Discovery'.
One more year, Compulsory Secondary and High School students will visit corners and workshops within school hours. The 17th Geological Photography Competition will also be held, and the deadline for participating is still open.

The rest of the activities are free of charge until the places are filled. Reservations for the headquarters of Barakaldo can be made from 27 October , through the electronic headquarters of the City Council of Barakaldo, by telephone and in the municipal houses.
