Teachers with Palestine The collective has launched a campaign to urge the Government of Navarre to use the money discounted as a result of the 15 October strike and unemployment in support of the Palestinian people to rebuild educational facilities in Gaza through the United Nations UNRWA.
Teachers have claimed that "Israel bombed Gaza today in violation of the ceasefire agreement" and have stressed that, so far, Israel "has destroyed all educational infrastructure in Gaza, also bombing UN schools, and that is why Gazatis children have not been attending school for two years and are struggling to survive this genocide."
For all these reasons, the above-mentioned request is accompanied by a letter addressed to the Education Counsellor, Carlos Gimeno, requesting that "instead of remaining with the money discounted from the salary, it be allocated to UNRWA for the reconstruction of school infrastructure in Palestine".
