The Ertzaintza has arrested a man in Bilbao for attempting to sexually assault a woman in the early morning hours of Tuesday at a portal on San Francisco Street.
The events took place around 6:30. According to the testimony provided by the victim, the couple entered the portal where they had been attacked together, but the man became aggressive and tried to strangle the victim, almost to the point of losing consciousness. He has also reported having been beaten and bitten when he tried to flee. However, he was able to leave and ask for help.
The 42-year-old aggressor was subsequently arrested by the Ertzaintza on the basis of data provided by the woman, who is charged with a crime against sexual freedom.
