Four neighbors of the town of Iturgoien (Navarre), about 80 inhabitants, have designed an unseen device to improve the attitude we take in common when we do shit .
Behindthisinnovative initiative that combineshealth eta ergonomics are Asier and Iñigo Arabaolaza, Joseba Imaz and Jose Antonio Lazcano, creators of the 'Naturpos' device.
Natural posture of the body
The product, which is already patented, uses a very simple system that causes the user to lift his legs so that he can somehow adopt a natural posture of the body.
The device's producers have explained that this attitude is intended to ensure that the puboanal muscle (the muscle fiber band that supports the anal tube and the structure at the bottom of the rectum) is relaxed and thus avoid certain health problems such as constipation, hemorrhoids or pelvic floor injuries.Perhaps the idea came up. The four producers knew — as scientific research shows — that squatting is the best thing to do. However, most toilets do not allow this attitude to be adopted naturally, and aware of this "limitation," they decided to design and market a device that would solve this "problem."
Thus, the key to the device lies in the angle of the legs when the belly is emptied. "The puboanal muscle relaxes between 90 and 35 degrees," Imaz said.
From spring into the world
A number of devices have already been sold, which, according to the company, are being welcomed. The profile of buyers is varied, but it is dominated bypeople between the ages of 40 and 70 . "We thought it was going to be a product aimed at women, but there are also a lot of men buying it, because the pelvic floor is also associated with prostate problems," explains Imaz.
