A 67-year-old man dies in the Allotz swamp

A 67-year-old man died on Wednesday while swimming inthe Allotz swamp, allegedly drowned, according to SOS Navarra.
The SOS Navarra 112 emergency service received notice ofthe accident at 12:32 p.m. , where an advanced life support ambulance (medicalized), a medical team from Abartzuza and several Foral Police patrols were moved.
The accident occurred near the Allotz swamp in Lerat, Gesalaz, when the man was swimming.
Other bathers took the man out ofthe water and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation exercises until emergency services arrived, but nothing could be done to save his life.
The man's body will be transferred to the Navarro Institute of Legal Medicine for an autopsy.
Law enforcement officers are investigating the causes of the incident and investigating the proceedings.
