National Police confirm mafia trafficking in migrants from Ceuta
The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Angel Victor Torres, will coordinate within the Spanish Government the situation caused by the crisis in Ceuta.
The National Police has disbanded two groups and arrested five people accused of trafficking in illegal migrants through small boats and charged €9,000 from Ceuta to the peninsula, among other charges.
In one of the operations, four persons have been arrested, two in Ceuta and two in La Linea de la Concepción (Cadiz), accused of criminal organization and irregular immigration offences.
In the second investigation, a man has been arrested on charges of belonging to an illegal trafficking organization from Ceuta to the peninsula and has been placed in pre-trial detention, the National Police said in a statement.

Indeed, Ceuta's president, Juan Jesús Vivas, and the PP had been demanding the government's sole authority over the situation for several days.
The Ministry argues that Torres has experience in migration, since he was president of the Canary Islands and had several migration crises during the legislature.
