Hamas will respond today to a ceasefire proposal for Gaza

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has indicated on Friday that, after "high-responsibility consultations," it will respond to the latest ceasefire proposal in Gaza, sources close to the movement have informed EFE.
Hamas has expressed its "satisfaction" that the latest ceasefire proposal includes "assurances" not to return to the fight for the duration of the negotiations, as well as negotiations on a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza once the 60-day ceasefire enters into force.
An Egyptian security source mediating with Qatar has informed EFE that the proposal that has been sent to Hamas is the one that the US representative Steve Witkoff presented in early June and accepted by Israel.
U.S. President Donald Trumpannounced last Tuesday that Israel has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza and urged Hamas to do the same.
