Coca-Cola has agreed to use cane sugar in soft drinks it sells in the United States after a conversation between US President Donald Trump and officials of the Atlanta multinational.
"I have spoken to Coca-Cola about theuse of cane sugar in the USA and it has been approved, "the magnate announced on his social network TruthSocial.
"I want to thank everyone who has responsibility in Coca-Cola. It's going to be a very good decision. You'll see. It's just better!"Trump added.
On the other hand, the company has appreciated "President Trump's interest in our iconic Coca-Cola brand," and has stated that "soon" they will share more details about the new offers of Coca-Cola products.
According to the multinational on its website, the original Coca-Cola formula that markets in the United States contains corn syrup containing fructose among its ingredients, and elsewhere, such as in Spain, it uses sugar as a sweetener.
