Work has begun on the five-kilometre relocation of the iconic church of Kiruna in northern Sweden, by road, due to the need to expand its mine.
The church is 40 feet wide (672 tons of weight) and the operation started today is scheduled to end on Wednesday afternoon.
The trailer with the church will move at 500 meters per hour and the transfer can be followed live on the Swedish public television website.
