Trump has previously said that he is thinking of reducing the number of troops in Germany, after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Thursday that the US has no strategy in the context of the offensive against Iran. The tycoon accused Merz of being "absolutely useless" in his attempts to end the invasion of Russia.
This is not the first time he has threatened to reduce German troops, as he did in his first term, that is, between 2017 and 2021.
