Grand Basque Film Gala

The Basque Film Festival, Euskal Zine Bilera, celebrates its 48th edition with the award of the Pantailak Euskaraz initiative and, in addition to the short film contest, the documentaries Karmele and Akelarre: Marearen kontra and Txillarreko Sukaldaria.

This is a humanist science-fiction drama that began to develop ten years ago. This work, sponsored by EITB, explores the limits of Artificial Intelligence and Human Mourning. The film, written by the Donostiarras Alberto Gastesi and Alex Merino, competes in the official section of the Sitges festival.

The short film, shot with three women in the Otxarkoaga district of Bilbao, focuses on the discrimination suffered by gypsies.
