Diane Keaton dies, star of Annie Hall and Something's Gotta Give
The Oscar winning actress for Woody Allen's comedy 'Annie Hall' made a hundred appearances in film and television.
Diane Keaton, winner of an Oscar for comedy Woody Allen's Annie Hall (1977), director of several films and entrepreneur of a wine brand named after her, died this Saturday at the age of 79.
The actor madeabout 100 appearances in film and television, including the great classics of film history such as The Godfather trilogy (1972, 1974, 1990) and The First Wives Club (1996).
Keaton received three more Oscarnominations: Reds (1981) for drama; Marvin's Room (1996) for drama; and Something's Gotta Give (2003) for love comedy.
Woody Allen's fetish actor was born on January 5, 1946 in Los Angeles, but when he was 19, he dropped out of school and moved to New York to study performance at Neighborhood Playhouse.
Hedebuted on Broadwayin the successful musical Hair, first as a team member and then in the role of female protagonist Sheila in 1968.
He first appeared in a film in 1970, Lovers and Other Strangers.
