Judge Leopoldo Puente, who is investigating the Koldo case, has ordered therelease of Koldo García, as he did the day before with former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos , as confirmed to EFE by legal sources, as well as the precautionary measures against the investigator.
That being the case, Garcia will have to appear in court every 15 days, will not be able to leave the country and will remain without a passport.
Garcia's appearance today has been very similar to yesterday's . As Ábalos did, Garcia also refused to testify.
The judge has followed the judgement of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, which, while acknowledging the existence of a risk of escape and evidence of an offence, considers the current precautionary measures to be sufficient.
