The Basque Government will invest 1.6 billion in infrastructure and equipment in Osakidetza by 2032
This programme will involve an investment of EUR 1.6 billion over the period 2025-2032, 70% of which will be devoted to infrastructure development and renovation.
As far as primary care is concerned, 21 new health centres will be built and 8 more will be reformed or expanded, with a total investment of EUR 200.8 million.
In this area, the new High Decision-making Centre in Durango, with an investment of EUR 34.8 million, will provide more specialized services to the population and help to avoid displacement, since it will concentrate the care activity currently offered in three areas in a single centre, the Rural Health Centre in Durango, the Ambulatory and the Mental Health Day Hospital.
EUR 11.3 million will also be earmarked for the modernisation of medical consultation equipment for the proper supply of lifting stretchers, ecographers, semi-automatic defibrillators and other equipment.
