The National High Court has ordered an investigation into the images of ETA prisoners shown in the Korrika
The complaint was filed by UPN on the grounds that the images of the race for the Basque Country passing through the Pamplonese neighbourhood of La Chantrea and other Navarre towns exalted terrorism and humiliated the victims.
The National High Court has ordered the Civil Guard and the National Police to investigate the display of images of ETA prisoners in Korrrika.
Specifically, the regionalist party denounced that the prisoners convicted of themurders of Francisco Ruiz Romero and Alberto Viedma Morillas, Tomás Caballero and Francisco Casanova, respectively, of UPN councillors, were shown and wanted the persons carrying the photos to be identified.
These images were shown as the race for the Euskera passed through the Chantrea district of Pamplona and other parts of Navarre.
In a message on the X social network, UPN President Cristina Ibarrola has called for "the investigation to come to an end."
