Imanol Pradales has stressed in a letter published in the newspapers of the Vocento group that it is "unacceptable" to idealize former ETA members and claim 'armed struggle', and has denounced the abstention of the abertzale left in its proposals to pay tribute to the victims.

The Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats has paid tribute to Councillor Miguel Ángel Blanco in Ermua on the 29th anniversary of his murder by ETA, with the presence of his sister Mari Mar Blanco, the president of the Basque people, Javier de Andrés, and the deputy secretary of Cuca Gamarra.

It is 29 years since ETA kidnapped and murdered Miguel Ángel Blanco, an event that has shaken Basque society. Today, in his hometown of Ermua, a tribute has been paid to him and a message has been sent to prevent such events from being forgotten.
