On the occasion of the anniversary, the Memorial Centre for Victims of Terrorism and Gogora have jointly presented a three-episode podcast called " Pertur case ". The aim of the project is to bring the case and the testimonies of the victims closer to society, especially to promote the critical memory among young people.

The Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats has paid tribute to Councillor Miguel Ángel Blanco in Ermua on the 29th anniversary of his murder by ETA, with the presence of his sister Mari Mar Blanco, the president of the Basque people, Javier de Andrés, and the deputy secretary of Cuca Gamarra.

It is 29 years since ETA kidnapped and murdered Miguel Ángel Blanco, an event that has shaken Basque society. Today, in his hometown of Ermua, a tribute has been paid to him and a message has been sent to prevent such events from being forgotten.

The event, organized by the PSE-EE of Andoain, has paid tribute to the historic anti-Franco socialist militant José Luis López de Lacalle, who was shot in 2000 by ETA in the doorway of his house when he came from buying newspapers.

The Public Prosecutor's Office requests a review of the application of Article 100.2 of the Prison Regulations, but the report does not suspend the decision of the Basque Government.

The spokesman for the Basque Government has explained that Iparragirre has received the same treatment as any other prisoner and that no discretionary measures have been taken. He has pointed out that they understand the pain it may have caused to the victims of ETA. However, he has recalled that this measure is aimed at reintegration. Marisol Iparragirre has left the prison in Martutene on a semi-liberty basis this Tuesday.

Article 100.2 of the Prison Regulations has been applied to him, so that he may be released from Martutene prison on working days, even if he must return to sleep.  

Eneko Andueza calls on those who believed that violence and democracy were compatible to make an ethical journey. Members of the PSE-EE, representatives of the Basque Government and various positions of EH Bildu, along with those around Isaiah Carrasco, have attended the tribute.

ETA murdered the socialist politician and his escort Jorge Díez 26 years ago. Like every year, they have made a floral offering next to the monolith built in their honor. In addition to family and friends, the event has been attended by a broad institutional and political representation. 

Former ETA leader Garikoitz Aspiazu 'Txeroki' will be released from prison from Monday to Friday after the semi-liberty regime granted by the Basque Government, on which PSE-EE Secretary General Eneko Anduezahas spoken. 

"Txeroki" was arrested in 2008 in France and is serving a sentence of more than 400 years for several attacks.  2024 was transferred from the French prison of Lannemezan to the prison of Martutene.

They will continue to work to put an end to the exceptional measures imposed on ETA prisoners. They have again called for political and judicial changes the day after the massive demonstration in Bilbao.

The Collective of Victims of Terrorism has criticized in several messages on its social networks that "the left abertzale - Sortu and EH Bildu - and its satellites, such as Sare, continue to demand greater impunity for all Etarras."

EITB has spoken to Mikel Paredes, brother of Txiki, and Mertxe Urtuzaga, cousin of Otegi, who first remembered the parents of the victims, who died before their confession, and then wanted to thank those who have accompanied them over the years, especially the lawyer and professor Juanjo Alvarez, for their work in the recognition process.

At the request of the families and in application of Law 20/2022 on Democratic Memory, the Spanish Government has approved the Declaration of Recognition and Personal Reparation in favour of Jon Paredes Txiki and Angel Otaegi, recognizing that they were persecuted for "political reasons, courts without guarantees and victims of human rights violations".
