Together with the presidents of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Xunta de Galicia, the lehendakari participated today in a colloquium in Barcelona in which he warned that Vox wants to eradicate the state of autonomy, 

The president, Imanol Pradales, has participated in a day organized by the forum Cercle d'Economia, together with the presidents of Catalonia and Galicia, Salvador Illa and Alfonso Rueda, respectively, who have talked not only about models of autonomous financing, but also about the political situation in Spain and the possible electoral advance.

The President, Imanol Pradales, chaired this afternoon's meeting of the Advisory Council of the Basque Country, together with the Vice-President and Language and Policy Adviser, Ibone Bengoetxea first, who stressed that "the future of the Basque Country requires social cohesion, new alliances and broad consensus".

The lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, has announced that the parties that make up the Basque Government, PNV and PSE-EE, will presentin the coming weeks a proposal for a law on urgent measures to facilitate and alleviate sustainable economic activity. He has recalled that at the last plenary session of the General Policy he committed himself to preparing a quick way to facilitatetheimplementation of strategic investment projects in the Basque Country.

The President, Imanol Pradales, has greeted Pope Leon XIV at the general hearing of the Vatican and then met for almost an hour with Secretary of State Pietro Parolin. "It has been a meeting of great symbolic and institutional value that makes it possible to strengthen the relationship between the Basque Country and the Holy See," he said.

The Basque Government has highlighted the symbolic value of the gifts, which claim historical memory, the defence of peace and the protection of cultural and linguistic diversity. 

The President, Imanol Pradales, will attend the general hearing, invited by Pope Leon XIV. Eusko Jaurlaritza, a valuable meeting that will strengthen the institutional presence of the Basque Country in the international arena.

The spokeswoman for the Basque Government, Maria Ubarretxena, explained at the hearing following the Governing Council that the lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, will meet Pope Leon XIV at the Vatican on Wednesday, where he will defend the Basque Country's commitment to "peace, democracy, human dignity and social justice".

The President says that international law and liberal democracies are threatened by the rise of global populism and authoritarianism. He claims that the Basque Country has its own voice in a federal Europe.

The Lehendakari has highlighted its contribution to the institutional declaration, the development of the Gernika Statute and the strengthening of the Basque institutions.

Imanol Pradales will make an institutional statement at 11:30, following the death yesterday of lehendakari Carlos Garaikoetxea.

In a message, the president thanked his people for doing their best: "Thank you for giving us the best for the people and freedom you loved. We will not fail you."

It invites the General Hearing to be held on that day, a meeting which the Basque Government considers to be of great value and which strengthens the institutional presence of the Basque Country at the international level.

The main focus of the trip will be to participate in the events organized within the Venice Biennial, one of the main stages of contemporary art worldwide, on the 50th anniversary of the first Basque presence at the Biennial in 1976.
