The lehendakari has called for "truth, justice, recognition and reparation for the victims" on the 50th anniversary of the massacre of 3 March 1976. "We need a full and inclusive memory, because only then can the wound that is still open be closed. The commitment of the Basque Government and myself to the victims is total." 

At the opening ceremony of the International Machine Tool Fair at the BEC in Barakaldo, the lehendakari has advanced that the Basque Government Euskadi is already studying the "effects" of the conflict in the Middle East and has warned of the "real danger" of a new "war".

The Lehendakari will travel to Brussels from 3 to 4 March to strengthen the role of the Basque Country in Europe and participate in a summit on cohesion policy from 2028.

Imanol Pradales, together with the Director of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, Mikel Jauregi, visited the company Lointek in Urduliz (Bizkaia) on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. During his speech, Pradales highlighted the impact of the price of electricity on the competitiveness of the Basque industry, especially in the case of electro-intensive companies, "on which thousands of jobs depend."

President Imanol Pradales has described Tubos Reunidos as a "reference" company in a key sector such as the decarbonization of the economy and the energy transition, and has stressed that it must remain so in the future.  "To overcome the situation we must all row in the same direction: management, workers, suppliers, creditors and institutions," he added.

President Imanol Pradales on Monday called on 14 industrial territories with "great innovative and economic potential," meeting in Bilbao to put their capabilities at the service of Europe, "ensuring the future of the European project," which is "at risk" in an "unstable and uncertain" world.

The President has announced that these two meetings, agreed with the Spanish President at the meeting on 27 January, will take place before Easter and has stressed that a policy based on respect and responsibility will continue.

The meeting with the Spanish Government is scheduled for Friday. The Lehendakari and Counsellor will first assess compliance with the "necessary guarantees" for the signing of the transfer. As EITB has been aware, there are "constant contacts to reach an agreement" and "progress" has been made.

It will be the first time the Basque Country has participated in the World Economy Foro. 

The agreement encourages cooperation in key sectors such as renewable energy, medical devices and gastronomy. President Imanol Pradales has stressed that both sides share "the ambition and potential to be an international benchmark in clean technologies."

Amaia Martinez reported on Wednesday that her family's shop in the Alavesa capital had been painted against "fascism."

Amaia Martínez, Vox's only member of parliament in the Basque Parliament, has seen a lehendakari "arrogant, complacent and not self-critical." "We Basques have many problems and lehendakari solves them with more Euskera, increasing the presence of the Basque Country around the world and the officiality of the Basque ball," added Martínez.

The lehendakari has called for hope in the current "alarming" international political context and warned that "patience is running out" because commitments to self-government are not being fulfilled.
