Maialen Mendinueta is from Legazpi, mother and orthodontist of two children, had her first outbreak at the age of 17 and over the years she has been through hospitalizations, other crises and a depression. Less than a year ago, she was diagnosed with type 2 bipolar disorder. In 2021, she decided to break the silence and tell her story on social media in order to help those who, like her, have been facing mental illness since her youth.
