The cannon of the Food Bank and the Amara Berri Neighborhood Association has started an eight-day party full of music, fireworks and more than 380 activities.

The Red Cross has taken to Oñati the migrants from Mali who spent the night in San Sebastian, to a temporary hostel. The 50 Africans who were on the street in the Amara neighbourhood have been accommodated in the Arantzazu shelter while the asylum application is being processed. This Friday the transfer began from the public school Amara Berri, near the Cofradías de San Sebastián.

The Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, in collaboration with the Town Hall of Donostia-San Sebastián, has arranged a temporary accommodation in this town.

The concert version of this opera in Basque will be offered on Saturday, August 9 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kursaal.  Jesus Gurido is one of the most important works by Vitorian composers, never played in the Musical Fortnight.

The 86th edition of the Donostiarra festival was inaugurated this August 1 with the ballet Requiem (s) and will count for the first time with the presence of orchestras such as the Opera de Paris and the Gewandhausorchester de Leipzig

It has been the last edition of Miguel Martín as director, but he will continue to work "at the service" of the San Sebastian festival. Martin highlights that in 17 paid concerts the stands have been filled, and in the rest they have been almost full. The 52 free concerts have brought together 158,700 people, while the paid ones have been 20,480.

Podemos Euskadi regrets that San Sebastián "will continue to violate animal torture and animal rights." Victor Lasa recalls that "although tauromaquia seems untouchable, it is not untouchable, since in several cities of the state they have managed to get rid of bullfighting."

The works council has lamented that the "minimum conditions" for workers' right to strike are not met.

Scientia School has explained that it bought the school in 2019, but "the number of tuition fees fell steadily."

After a decade in the San Sebastian Mayor's Office, Eneko Goia has stressed that when the PNV regained the Mayor's Office 10 years ago, the city was "paralyzed, without initiative and without prospects for the future."
