As a result of the rains, many walls and homes have collapsed, catching several people under them. In addition, the water has flooded streets and tents. The United Nations Refugee Agency and the Gaza Government have warned of the risk of an increase in diseases and infections.

In the Committee of Inquiry into the Valencian Courts, the acting President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, who has asked more questions than explanations, and has extended the usual accusations against Aemet and Pedro Sánchez. They also condemn the fact that the president's appearance focused on material damage, and that he declared himself a victim of criminalization.

The People's Leader will not renounce the Act of Deputies and will continue to be eligible. He has not announced any electoral advance and the deadline for electing his replacement will be opened on Monday, once he has formally resigned. The groups will have until 19 November to present their candidates. 

In a speech to the National Executive Committee, Feijóo said that today "a member" of the party who has suffered "political and personal hunting" and who "is not a murderer" resigned. "He made mistakes, yes, he also apologized, and today he took them to the end," he said.

Hurricane Melissa is approaching the west coast of Jamaica with 280 km/h of wind, torrential rains and strong waves, which authorities say is a "very dangerous hurricane" and fears could cause significant damage.

The inhabitants of Jamaica and Cuba are preparing to deal with the Melissa hurricane which, according to forecasts, will cause devastating winds and catastrophic floods on a direct route to the Caribbean island.

At least 75 people have been trapped and two are missing in the municipality of Guangfu after a natural lake overflowed as a result of the heavy rains caused by the Ragasa supertyphoon. The water has covered the town centre and the population has had to climb roofs and vehicles until rescue teams arrive.

13 fires are still in operational condition, most of them in Castile and Leon. The expected weather conditions in the next few hours will be beneficial for their control and extinction.

Since the beginning of the summer fire wave, some 34,000 people have been evicted and 413,992 hectares have been burned in 268 fires, and 48 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement.
