On 30 November, the Balenciaga shipyard signed a sales agreement with the aforementioned Arab investment group for EUR 11.2 million. Si the closure of the purchase is a prerequisite for reaching an agreement with the workers.

Led by President Imanol Pradales and businessman Jose Antonio Jainaga, the new shareholders have visited the Talgo company's facilities in Rivabellosa. They all believe that the operation has been key to strengthening the activity and employment of  and predict a promising future for the railway company.

The change of shareholder of Talgo has been signed by the Basque consortium (Sidenor, Finkatuz - Basque Government - and Vital) and the public company under the Spanish Government for Industrial Holdings (SEPI), as well as the return of the group's registered office and tax office to Rivabellosa (Álava). 

The Board of Trustees of the entity met this Wednesday in Bilbao to ratify its decision, as reported in a statement.

Since July, the Council, together with the Government and "20 municipalities", has been implementing a plan to promote "business competitiveness" through the creation of industrial land, the strengthening of vocational training, measures to value the strengths of the economic sectors in the region and the creation of new activities around them.
