The C1 Commuter Line between Bilbao and Santurtzi will resume all rail traffic next Saturday and will offer 100% weekend service on Saturdays and Sundays, according to Renfe.
On 23 September , a catenary fire at the Peñota Pier required the suspension of rail service, but from last Monday the train has been travelling between Barakaldo and Santurtzi again. From Monday to Friday it is doing so with a temporary reduction, with a frequency of 50% of the usual frequency, until further notice.
Adif is still working to repair the damage to the infrastructure, which has not yet been fully repaired, which is why traffic continues, albeit at 50% of normal frequencies, as Renfe has specified.
