The Ertzaintza investigates a sexual assault attempt that occurred last Friday afternoon on the campus of Mondragon Unibertsitatea in Oñati (Gipuzkoa). On Monday, a rally was held to denounce the attempted aggression, which was attended by, among others, the Counsellor for Science, Universities and Innovation, Juan Ignacio Pérez Iglesias.
The victim, as confirmed by the Basque Government's Department of Security, filed a complaintfor these incidents.

Pérez Iglesias has expressed his support for the victim of this sexual assault attempt in the parking lot of the campus. He has said that such acts constitute "an unacceptable violation of fundamental rights and a direct attack on the freedom, dignity and physical integrity of those who suffer them" and are "incompatible with the values that academic institutions and our society in general must regulate."
