Official Gazette of Spain publishes housing decrees
The general measures will enter into force on Thursday, while the mandatory extension of the rent will enter into force on November 15 if the Permanent Council approves it.
The Official Gazette of the State today publishes the two Royal Housing Decrees approved yesterday by the Spanish Council of Ministers following their suspension in Congress on Friday of last week, one of which will enter into force tomorrow, and the one containing the mandatory extension of rent would be placed on 15 November if approved by the Permanent Council.
The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, appeared before the media yesterday from Moncloa to explain some of the changes made to them following the adoption of the aforementioned Royal Decrees.
In addition, the President of the Government acknowledged that the second decree, which regulates the automatic extension of rent, does not currently have the support of the parliamentary majority, so it will not enter into force until it is ratified by the Permanent Council , which will not be very easybecausenot only the Junts, but also the PNV will refuse.
That is why the deadline for its entry into force has been postponed until 15 November, when it will be put to the vote in the Permanent Congressional Council.

What are the main developments in the housing decrees passed today?
It appears that the decree containing most of the measures will go through, while it does not appear that the decree containing the automatic extension of rent, which raises an "ambitious debate," according to Sanchez, will be adopted.
