The workers of the Social Action Service of San Sebastian City Council have called off the strike scheduled for this Wednesday, according to the ELA union.
The agreement, which, in the words of ELA, contains most of its main demands , has been concluded after numerous mobilizations and 12 strike days in recent months.
Among the agreed requests is the recruitment of 16 new workers in the categories of social work, administration and psychology by 1 January 2027.
ELA and LAB, with a majority on the works council, recall that this conflict, which began at the beginning of the year, wasaimed at reducing the workload by reducing the rate of care per professional and increasing staff in all areas.
The works council will meet with the City Council in the next few days to define all the contents of the agreement and complete its closure, they added.
