The unemployment rate fell by 2.02% in the ACV and 0.4% in Navarre in September
With regard to the data for September 2024, unemployment in the Basque Country fell by 1,027 persons (0.95 per cent) and in Navarre by 1,232 persons (4.16 per cent). From August to September, the Basque Social Security earned 11,475 members, while the number of persons registered with Social Security in Navarre fell by 719 persons.
The number of unemployed in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) fell by 2,200 in September (2.02%) and 10 in Navarra (0.04%) compared to August, according to data released this Thursday by Lanbide and the Spanish Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.
Compared to September 2024, unemployment fell by 1,027 persons (0.95 per cent) in the ACV and Navarre, by 1,232 persons (4.16 per cent).
The territory where unemployment has fallen most in the ACV has been Gipuzkoa, with 3.43% (1,006 fewer people), ahead of Bizkaia, with 1.81% (1,110 fewer), while in Álavathe number of unemployed has increased by 84 (0.46%).
Compared to September last year, unemployment in Bizkaia fell by 1.75 per cent (1,072 persons) and 0.41 per cent in Gipuzkoa (117 persons), while in Álava the year-on-year trend has also been negative, with 162 more unemployed (0.89 per cent).
Unemployment in the Spanish Statehas fallen by 0.20%, with 4,846 people unemployed less than in the previous month. In the last year unemployment has fallen by 5.97%, with 153,620 fewer unemployed than in October last year.
Membership data
Guzarte Seguridad has won 11,475 members in the Basque Country in September compared to August, according to data released today by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security of Spain, which in August lost 16,505 members. Thus, the number of members of the Social Security in the ACVstill exceeds one million people: 1,018,270 people.
On the other hand, the SocialSecurity of Navarre has lost 719 members (0.23%), bringing the total number of registered persons to Social Security in Navarre to 314,365.
