D'Anjou calls on EH Bildu, PP and Sumar to "step up" in the budget negotiation
The Finance and Finance Adviser has asked the opposition to abandon "partisan interests" in the negotiation of the ACV Budgets.
The Finance and Finance Adviser of the Basque Government, Noël D'Anjou, has explained that the Government will "unconditionally" initiate budgetary negotiations with the opposition parties. However, the Councillor has urged EH Bildu, PP and Sumar to act "honestly" and to abandon partisan interests in order to reach an agreement.
D'Anjou presented to the Finance Committee of the Basque Parliament this morning the Basque Government's 2026 draft budget of EUR 16,378 million, 4.1% more than this year.
The Councillor has announced that, following the hearings of the Councillors in Parliament to present the budgets of their respective departments, he will begin a round with Suma , PP and EH Bildu to "explore possible alliances".
The Chief Executive will resume negotiations "without preconditions," but he has urged the opposition Ladybugs to act "honestly." "All that is needed is political will," he said.
