The Basque Government

The Basque Government will approve tomorrow, with the Decree on Urgent Measures , the "social shield" in the area of housing .  Among other things, the fee to be received by the owners will be 700 euros and higher in tense areas. 

The lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, has reproached EH Bildu for not having supported a single major "country" agreement in these two years of legislature and has asked him to "get wet" . Otxandiano, for his part, has warned that the "disagreements" between the two parties, partners in the Basque Government, on issues such as the Euskera, are "an obstacle" to progress.

The President and CEO of Aena, Maurici Lucena, has argued at the Shareholders' Meeting that Spanish airports of general interest are subject to a specific legal regime provided for in Law 18/2014, protected by the Constitution, which declares the exclusive competence of the State over these infrastructures and protects private property and the freedom of enterprise, but has welcomed cooperation and coordination with the Autonomous Communities, provided that the limits of the Constitution are respected and the autonomy of Aena is not altered.

The Basque Country has indicated the desirability of taking measures to reduce the interinity rate at the\u00A0Maria Ubarretxena Government Spokesperson and  Minister Oscar Lopez at the working meeting. The process of concurrence has gone from around 50% to around 14% and is expected to approach 8% by the end of the legislature.

Interviewed on Radio Euskadi, Counsellor Nerea Melgosa has criticized the Sánchez Government for ignoring the allegations made by the Basque Government to the regularization process, including recognition of the efforts of migrants studying Basque.

EH Bildu's parliamentary spokesman has advocated taking advantage of qualified majorities and a "fairly favourable" political climate to achieve "country agreements, national agreements and state-of-the-art pacts" in the ACV, in his view, and in the current historical context, which is "the only reasonable alternative to protecting the interests of this country."

The Sectoral Conference on Children and Adolescents was suspended yesterday following the decision not to participate in almost the same community led by PP. The Counsellor for Welfare Equality, Justice and Social Policies, Nerea Melgosa, has called for an extension of her powers in the field of migration and has asked the State for a structural strategy for the care of children and adolescents.

On 27 March, the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System agreed to propose to the trade unions the mediation of the Platform of Patient Organizations. The unions disagree because the platform "is neither neutral nor expert in labour matters". Both parties have agreed to hold further meetings, but in the meantime the doctors maintain the strike planned for the week of 27 April.
