Unai Rementeria, new president of the BBK Foundation, replacing Xabier Sagredo
Former Bizkaia MP Unai Rementeria has been appointed this Wednesday president of the BBK Foundation to replace Xabier Sagredo, who has been in office since November 2013.
The Board of Trustees of the entity met this Wednesday in Bilbao to ratify its decision, as reported in a statement.
Rementeria (Mundaka, 1973), a law graduate and a diploma in economics from the University of Deusto, has served as mayor of Mundaka, former parliamentarian and general deputy of Bizkaia in his political career between 2015 and 2023.
From 2023 until today, he was president of Elkarkidetza, the voluntary social security entity that manages the EPSVs of law enforcement and municipal officials.
