Guggenheim Bilbao closes 2025 with more than 1.3 million visitors
The museum has received 3,660 more visitors than in 2024, and 90% of the attendees have come from abroad.
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbaohas received 1,305,003 visitors by 2025, 3,660 more than in 2024, an increase of about 0.3%.
90 % of visitors have been from outside the Basque Country. The main visitors have been Spanish state (21%), French (15%), German (9%), British (9%), American (6%) and Italian (5%).
The data reflect "very positive" results, taking into account the annual increase, so the data confirm, under theleadership of Mira Arzalluz, that the new era of the museum has begun well. It also recorded historical records between May, June and July, while summer was the second most successful after 2023.
As for the exhibitions, in situ: Refik Anadol was the most visited exhibition of the year, with 891,460 attendees between March and October. The museum's educational programs involved 81,220 people, while the online community had 426,143 members at the end of the year, including 24,393 Friends of the Museum.
The economic impact of the Guggenheim Bilbao also remains significant: the museum reached a level of self-financing of 78% , contributed 676.7 million euros to GDP and generated a demand of 782.3 million linked to its activity in the ACV.
