In Bizkaia, discounts on public transport will be extended until 31 December
Children under 14 years of age will have free transport until the end of the year and there will be discounts on Youth Fees and other multi-travel subscriptions. The Bizkaia Transport Consortium (PGP) decided on Thursday to extend the public transport bonus measures currently in force in Bizkaia until 31 December 2026, sothat children up to the age of14 will travel free of charge, a 50% discount will be applied on the youth title fee and 40 %on the rest of the large travel tickets and tickets.
As explained in the Council, the aim of this extension is, on the one hand, to give continuity to the measures for the protection of collective public transport laid down in the royal decrees adopted to date, and, on the other, to ensure that Bizkaia users also have lower fares by 2026.
Tariff update
In addition, as every year, BGPs have approved the updating of the fees for consortium titles, with an average increase of 3%, which means that travel with Barik or GizaRans cards will increase by 3 cents and travel with periodic titles by 10 cents.
