The Basque Country and Navarre, which account for 8% of state funds, have strengthened their investment weight
According to data from EITB Data, the number of collective investment funds and companies is 94 entities, reinforcing their role in the state financial system.
The Basque Country and Navarre have consolidated their position in the field of private capital, according to EITB Data, with 94 collective investment funds and companies representing 8.1% of those in the State as a whole, whichis more than the economic weightof the Basque Country and Navarre .
This growth, according to EITB Data, is part of the overall expansion of the sector. The number of closed collective investment institutions has tripled since 2019, mainly to venture capital companies and funds, and in some cases the number has quadrupled.
According to EiTB Data, the presence of these tools in the Basque Country and Navarre demonstrates the consolidation of the investment ecosystem, with management societies capable of attracting resources and directing them towards business projects.
Specifically, there are 12 management and 23 venture capital companies , which act as the driving force behind investment activity, which, in addition to financing territorial companies, participate in extra-territorial operations to increase their scope.
The growth of the sector reflects the sophistication of the financial system; collective investment funds have been consolidated as an alternative to savings and investment diversification.
EITB Data has shown that this situation places the Basque Country and Navarre among the major actors within the private capital of the State, both with the capacity to attract and generate investment.
