The former head of Acciona Navarra has denied having had any contact with Koldo for "public work."

Acciona's leader in Navarra and La Rioja , Fernando Merino, has denied having a relationship with former ministerial adviser Koldo García for "public work" and has explained that his relationship is "friendship" after working with him on Geoalcali's project in Navarre.

Merino, who appeared on Wednesday in the Committee of Inquiry into the bidding of the works being carried out in the Navarre Parliament, pointed out that he had no problem when he had to work with Servinabar and that he was unaware that former socialist leader Santos Cerdán was participating in 45% of that company, as reported by the UCO.

The former head of Acciona in Navarre has explained that the bills at the Franky bar "are real"and that if they were issued it was because there were meals in that bar. "Sometimes I went alone, and then some business lunch before San Fermín was also made there," he said.

"If someone does things they shouldn't do, I don't know, Acciona asks for the bills, issues them and pays the establishment," he added.
