The International Machine Tool Fair will showcase ambitious projects of digitization, automation and robotics at BEC
From 2 to 6 March, for five days, 1,503 exhibitors and more than 3,350 products will be present, and the international community will be highlighted in this edition, bringing together visitors from 70 countries.

This Monday, March 2, the Makina-Tool International Fair (BIEMH) opens at the BEC of Barakaldo, the most important fair in the Basque Country, with 1,503 exhibitors and more than 3,350 products this year.
Thus, until March 6, for five days, around 350 international innovations will be announced, including a total of 1,542 machines and about 100 robots. Distributed in six pavilions, 20% of the fair will be dedicated to automation, robotics and digitization.
The fair has a trajectory of six decades (born in 1961), but this 33rd edition will focus especially on the product, "tanning brands in both quality and quantity", and will highlight the international community, with visitors from more than 70 countries.
Xabier Basañez, CEO of BEC, stressed during the presentation that the BEC fair will be a showcase of business activity and intentions, becoming a global benchmark.
In fact, it will show the most important sectors of the industry: boot machines, tools and accessories, welding, metrology, deformation machines, sheet metal and pipe cutting...
The countries to be represented include Austria, China, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Taiwan, Turkey, Switzerland, Japan, the United States and South Korea.

Programme and activities
They have prepared a comprehensive programme for these days, to explore trends, share knowledge and promote high-level networking.
Under the slogan "Carpe BIEMH", this new edition advises companies, visitors and organizations participating in the fair to "seize the moment", as they will be able to enjoy "an incredible industrial and technological spectacle".
In addition, the International Associations' Area space for machine tool organizations will be released this year.

Networking activities will strengthen relationships between professionals to "bring ideas together and expand new business opportunities."Among the most significant initiatives are the Innovation Workshops conferences, where managers of robotics, automation and digitization companies will present their most outstanding innovations in the exhibitors.
On the other hand, the Innovation Awards by BIEMH awards will reward the main industrial innovations .
Activities include Welcome Reception and BIEMH Fest appointments. The first will receive the exhibitors, while the second will take place on March 4 at Azkuna Zentroa.
