UGT reports painted in the UPV/EHU Álava Campus office
According to the union, there has been "a new attempt at sabotage" and they are suffering "a campaign of harassment for defending their own position."
UGT denounces the appearance of a painting with the letters ET at the door of its office on the Álava campus of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
In a statement published on its website, the trade union organization has stressed that "what has happened isa serious act admissiblebecause of its coercive nature in an academic context ".
In addition, he has assured us that this is not an isolated event. They have pointed out that the union has been subjected in recent times to "numerous sabotages and threatening graffiti" and have linked it to a "differentiated and unique attitude in the defence of labour rights".
The institution has directly mentioned the responsibility of the UPV/EHU because "althoughthe factshave been communicated to the Ertzaintza , the Rectorate has not implemented any security or preventive measures ".
It also regrets the lack of "strong condemnation" of the institutions and stresses that this " attitude only serves to bolster the violent".
Finally, it calls on the UPV/EHU to "assume its responsibilities to ensure a safe working environment and full freedom of association".
