The decision has been joined by 73 professionals from the area — medical specialist, MIR student and head of care units — who have all expressed their support for the recently resigned head of the trauma service, Javier González Arteaga.

The professionalsof the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Service of the University Hospital of Navarre N have decided not to participate in the extraordinary activities of consultations and interventions N, so they willnot perform overtime, denouncing, among other things, the lack of resources and misorganization, and claiming that there is no willingness to restore and channel the situation of the service.
I have supported the decision of 73 professionalsin the area, including specialist doctors, MIR students and heads of care units, who are very angry with the Health Adviser of Navarra, Fernando Domínguez, because he has not consulted with doctors on the measures proposed to reduce waiting lists.
They report that the quality and safety ofthe service is at stake. They disagree with the measure of prioritizing the first consultations before the post-operative follow-up process, believing that such decisions harm the entire unit.
Likewise, the professionals who have started the protest have expressed their support for Javier González Arteaga , head of the recently resigned Traumatology Service.
Traumatology professionals announced yesterday that they would not do overtime, and today the Digestive System Service joined the protest.
