The Government of Navarre today approved the preliminary draft of the Foral Act on Industrial and Business Promotion, which aims to place people working in industry and industry at the centre of political action and to make it a "priority".
The Councillor for Industry and for the Ecological and Digital Transition of Enterprises, Mikel Irujo, at the press conference following the Governing Council, reported that 300 citizens participated in the preparation of the preliminary draft, with a total of 850 contributions.
Irujo has described it as a "strategic initiative" that has placed on the horizon the economic, industrial, technological and ecological challenges of the coming decades and has developed "modern and ambitious regulations" to adapt to them.
In particular, it is a text aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, which require greater support and flexibility from the administration, and the regulation adopted today seeks to meet the needs of these entrepreneurs. Irujo has said that "tools will be offered to strengthen the base of the industry".
The Axes of the Foral Industry Act
Among the axes of the preliminary draft, the Councillor has highlighted the promotion of public-private collaboration and participatory governance, including the establishment of the Navarre Industrial Ecosystem Bureau and the Navarre Business Observatory.
Similarly, ecological and digital transitions will play a key role in the strategy of boosting industry, prioritising the creation of quality jobs, the attraction of talent and investment, and the strengthening of the competitiveness of enterprises.
Priority will also be given to research, development and innovation . The aim is to allocate aid to facilitate an 'appropriate environment' for the implementation of new initiatives.
In the same vein, on the way to the ecological transition, new tools will be created to promote more sustainable business models.
