The European Commission ( EC ) has fined China's e-commerce platform AliExpress EUR 550 million on Monday for violating the DSA Digital Services Act by selling illegal products (counterfeiting and/or breaches of safety standards) through its BERE platform and failing to carry out sufficient controls to prevent it.
