Confebask, President of Confebask, Tamara Yague, has called for shared responses and a "country pact" to improve business competitiveness, especially in industry.
Yagüe, who appeared before the press at the end of the annual General Council meeting in Bilbao, said that the economic context "is very tight" and although Euskadi "continues to grow", the balance sheet "has clear and dark sides".
According to its forecasts, this year the Basque economy will grow by about 1.9%, the lowest of the range of options expected; it says that the industry is not in recession but is in a "significant stagnation."
