Social Security has paid 592,012 pensions in the Basque Country in August, an increase of 1.10% over the same month of the previous year, with an average amount of €1,684.28 , an increaseof 4.13% in one year.
By historical territory, 85,802 pensions have been paid in Álava , with an average amount of €1,709, while 198,664 pensions have been paid in Gipuzkoa, with an average amount of €1,654.62, and 307,546 pensions in Bizkaia, with an average amount of €1,696.55.
In the Basque Country, retirement pensions have been the most common (398,600 pensions and an average amount of €1,909.25), followed by widows 'pensions (€132,270 and €1,170.41) and permanent incapacity pensions (€43,031 and €1,590.25).
