The average amount of pensions in the Basque Country has increased by 4.1% and now exceeds €1,648

Social Security has paid 592,012 pensions in the Basque Country in August, an increase of 1.10% over the same month of the previous year, with an average amount of €1,684.28 , an increaseof 4.13% in one year.

By historical territory, 85,802 pensions have been paid in Álava , with an average amount of €1,709, while 198,664 pensions have been paid in Gipuzkoa, with an average amount of €1,654.62, and 307,546 pensions in Bizkaia, with an average amount of €1,696.55.

In the Basque Country, retirement pensions have been the most common (398,600 pensions and an average amount of €1,909.25), followed by widows 'pensions (€132,270 and €1,170.41) and permanent incapacity pensions (€43,031 and €1,590.25).

Thus, the average pensionin the Basque Country is the highest in the Spanish State, with an average of 1,373.44 euros, and in August 10,535,869 pensions were paid to more than 9.5 million people, according to data published this Tuesday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.

This month, the Social Security system recorded 6.74 million retirement pensions , more than 2.3 million widows' pensions, 1.06 million permanent disability pensions, 336,336 orphans and 46,928 family members .
