A number of demonstrations have been called on LGTBI+ International Pride Day
This Saturday marks the International LGTBI+ Pride Day with awareness-raising activities and demonstrations in different parts of the territory. In Bilbao, the main march, organized by Coordinator E28, with LGTBIQA+ groups, such as Ehgam, will begin at 12:00 from La Casilla.
This event includes various culturaland festive activities as a demand for emotional sexual diversity and gender identity, with the aim of promoting zero tolerance of discrimination. The Bilbao City Council "supports awareness-raising campaigns and promotes real equality, without prejudice, so that all people can express their identity and emotions".
In Donostia-San Sebastián, the main march will begin at 6:30 p.m., when thousands of people will leave the Boulevard. In this context, the City Council has adopted an institutional declaration for full equality, a clear defence of the right to dignity and the free development of sexual and/or gender identity.
In addition, at 8:00 p.m. there will be a Ballroom culture exhibition on the Boulevard with the Vogue dance exhibition, organized by the Human Rights and Youth departments, with performances by the Kiki House of Anunnaki cultural group in Pamplona and members of the innovative BallroomDonostia.
Among this year's initiatives, an LGTBI+ flag has been painted calle Peña y Goñi and Paseo Colón, in the neighborhood Gros, and there will be a Vogue dance in Boulevard.
In Vitoria-Gasteiz, in order to highlight the struggle for the rights of the LGBT community, a number of activities have been organized for the afternoon. In addition, the City Council will join this celebration, which will illuminate the facade of the town hall with the colors of the LGTBI+ flag, the kiosk of Florida, the pergola of Los Arquillos and Sancho El Sabio.
The aim of the celebration is to remind citizens of the need for legal frameworks to protect the lives and rights of LGBT people.
Also , in Pamplona, LGTBIQA+ groups, such as Ehgame, will march at 7:00 p.m. from Baluarte.
