An 86-year-old man has disappeared on Mount Gorbea
The emergency services of the Basque Country are looking for an 86-year-old man on Mount Gorbeawho disappeared on Tuesday and his car was found in thequarries parking lot of Murua, in the Alavesa town of Zigoitia, according to the Basque Government's Security Department.
A son of the missing person reported the disappearance on Tuesday night. The man had gone to the mountain, but had not returned to his home in Vitoria. At that time, the search began by the Ertzaintza Citizen Protection and Emergency Services.
The search continues with the presence of the Basque Government's Emergency Care Technicians, mountain agents of the Ertzaintza Surveillance and Rescue Unit, a helicopter, drones, the Canine Unit and the Basque Rescue Dog Group, as well as the Miñones and members of the Red Cross.
